Before we engage in any kind of application of the techniques that help us to discover who we are, we should understand the role of the symptoms and/or disease in our lives.
In order to discover what is not functioning, we must constantly observe ourselves, because the disease symptoms are the key to our self-awareness. We should not run away from our fears, but be motivated by our curiosity that leads us to discover who we are. From this perspective, any symptom becomes a challenge instead of a tragedy; namely, it gives us an opportunity to lead new and more exciting lives.
Some of the techniques being used are acupuncture, botany, homeopathy, and psychotherapy. Their role is to help us to overcome the obstacles in our lives, as well as to motivate us to achieve a healthier and happier future.
Besides the above mentioned techniques, Chromo therapy is a method of regulating the psycho-biological disorders. During the skin application, a light lamp with a specifically chosen color influences the intercellular structures and biomolecules that are sensitive to light, which starts a chain reaction that is not limited only to the skin and that can spread across the whole body.
In synergy with the other techniques, such as the use of the bioresonance generator, proper diet, movements, work on emotions, breathing exercises, and deep massage, it helps the client to get to know him or herself and blossom into the most beautiful flower.
The most effective therapy ever developed
Besides food, water, air, sound, smell, and touch, sunlight is one of the main life necessities. In order for a flower to bloom with the most beautiful colors, it needs all of the previously mentioned ingredients. Although they are all equally important, sunlight is still a crucial ingredient, because it helps the flower to make its colors even brighter. Similar, if not the same thing, happens to a human body. Sunlight is a real nutrient, much like everything we eat, and the need for it is visible in every phase of our development.
It is known in science that every periodic system’s element vibrates on a certain color frequency (for example, hydrogen’s dominant color is red, oxygen is blue, sodium is grayish-white, etc.). Thus, whatever we bring into our body has its color (vibration). The colors found in the light are nutrients, which makes the color use method as a therapeutic tool (chromo therapy, photo therapy) one of the most effective therapeutic techniques.
The color therapy has been used in many cultures across the world for centuries – from the North American Indians to India and China. The first method of color healing techniques (which are a form of the electromagnetic energy of the visible light) was the use of sunlight (heliotherapy).
The benefits of this therapy are crucial in our biological system. Most enzymes, hormones, and vitamins require light in order to be active. A good example is the sunlight’s effects is the vitamin D’s synthesis, without which it wouldn’t be possible, as well as on the function of many other enzymes, even the ones responsible for the treatment of yellow fever in newborns that are exposed to blue light as a therapeutic method.
Swiss psychologist Luescher has developed the tests for exploring the mental and physical health of humans in 1940s. He did so by matching their reactions to certain colors. His research has concluded the effect of light and colors on the autonomous nervous system, glands, and metabolism in general. By using colors for diagnostic purposes, and later as a therapeutic method, Dr. Luescher did not make any new revelations, because the color treatment is a part of a thousand-year-old history of many ancient cultures.
The importance of light to us is supported by the fact that depression is very frequent in parts of the country with fewer sunny days. In order to counter this, a lighting based on the wholesome light is being used in these parts of the country lately (“ott” technology, after John N. Ott).
Thanks to the achievements in light therapy, a Nobel Prize in medicine has been awarded to Dr. Finsen in 1903.
The color therapy is conducted by directing a differently colored light towards the certain centers in the body in order to achieve balance. The skin recognizes the color, absorbs it, and transfers the stimulation across the body through specific biochemical receptors. In therapeutic sense, colors are being used more frequently in the treatment of allergies, inflammations, rheumatic pains, migraines, fatigue, depression, insomnia, and fears. Colors can stimulate, normalize, or have a soothing effect.
The effects of certain colors
Red – stimulates circulation, vitalizes cells, releases the deeply trapped energy, gives strength to the processes in stagnation, and enhances feelings. This color is the element of fire, which is why it improves everything that is related with the aspect of fire in our bodies. But, if the aspect of fire is pronounced in us (i.e., inflammation, rage), it will encourage these processes even more. It helps with diseases such as low blood pressure, rheumatism, anemia, paralysis, and other problems caused by “the cold“ (one of the pathogens in the traditional Chinese medicine).
Yellow – is connected to the feelings of satisfaction and happiness. It activates the motoric and nervous systems, encourages the elimination of toxins from the liver, acts as a mild diuretic, tones, helps with constipation, stimulates without excitement.
Yellow-brown – color of the element of earth, which soothes the stomach and spleen.
Blue – helps us to deal with the repressed feelings of sorrow from the past that have accumulated in the chest area and other parts of the body, gives a sense of clarity and calmness. In a study conducted in a New England’s state hospital (USA), 25 workers with normal blood pressure participated in an experiment with color blue for half an hour per day. Everyone showed a decrease in the blood pressure, while the red color increased everyone’s blood pressure. Therefore, blue is recommended to persons with high blood pressure, lung problems (asthma) and skin problems, burns, chronic pain, and it also stops the bleeding.
Orange – color of prosperity and pride. It encourages the proper functioning of the thyroid gland and digestion, facilitates breathing, regenerates tissue, heats, stimulates, and cheers up. It also helps with kidney stones, hernia, appendicitis, and stimulates the creation of milk after childbirth.
Green (combination of blue and yellow) – generally a color of healing that relaxes, maintains mental and physical energy, releases tension and painful processes. It is connected with the element of wood and has a positive influence on liver and bile when combined with yellow or brown.
Indigo – helps to ease bleeding, asthma, cough, cold, and constipation.
Purple – encourages the functioning of spleen, inspires, transfers the energy to a higher level, and calms down the tense nerves. Obesity is a deficit of color purple in the body.
Dark blue and black – they are related to the element of water. The aspect of water in the body is related to fear and flexibility. Directing these colors to the skin and consuming similar foods and supplements has a positive effect on the kidneys and bladder, while indirectly soothing our emotions connected to fear or exaggerated stiffness.
Different colors cause emotional reactions in us and are a reflection of our emotional state. Most of us show affinity towards certain colors, which is expressed through the color of our clothing and other aspects of life, reflecting our individual personality. Take a peek into your closet and see which color is the dominant one. The susceptibility to a certain color can cause an imbalance in your life, which is why it is recommended to avoid the color that is dominant in your closet, because you might discover a whole new aspect of yourself – the one that was unfamiliar to you thus far.
An everyday list of problems influenced by the color therapy is getting bigger by the minute. The more this technique is applied, the more obvious its positive results become. The above mentioned correlations between colors and problems are just a small number of examples of the wide palette of influences that colors have on people.
